How to take care of your skin with a simple skincare routine

SKINCARE PRODUCTS

Beginner’s basics:

  • SPF
  • oil-based cleanser or micellar water
  • serum
  • moisturizer
  • lip mask
  • chemical exfoliant
  • sheet mask

stage 1: cleanse

Even if you have only a few quick minutes, freshly washed skin twice a day is a great place to start your simple skincare routine (both morning and evening).

A great cleanser, such as Simple Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water, can remove dirt and impurities (and makeup too!) from your skin without leaving your skin feeling tight and dry.

The next steps in your face skincare routine will strengthen your skin; ensuring items such as your moisturizer will work better.

stage 2:  Apply toner

Tone, or not sound? It's a personal choice, but we like to sweep over the skin a soaked cotton pad to help extract excess oils and dead skin cells, Particularly if yours contains ingredients such as Witch Hazel (to help close pores) and soothing Chamomile; it's great to help pep up and refresh skin. A short run on time? Save the step to remove the last signs of make-up at the end of the day for the evening.

Stage 3: Serum & Stimulation

Supplement the skincare routine with serum or booster

Does it need something special to your skin? We're all about Serums and Boosters! These tiny skincare saviors have tailored items containing active ingredients to improve your skin and provide more of what it needs.

When to get a booster applied? We say after being washed (and toned) but before being moisturized. It will snugly blend in with your skincare routine.

Step 4: Lightning

Moisturizing is the ultra-important finisher in every skin routine

You thought a moisturizer would help protect your skin from losing moisture (keeping it feeling clean and shiny!). Will probably leave the skin still feeling tight and dry, and breakouts can occur as the skin attempts to adapt. Look out for ingredients such as Vitamin E, Glycerin, Pro-Vitamin B5, and Borage Seed Oil, all excellent skin moisturizers. Before applying, we like to warm up our moisturizer between the palms-it smoothes on a treat!

If your skin feels dehydrated and lacks radiance (hello glow, where are you?), try a product such as Easy Water Boost Hydrating Booster, which contains  "PENTAVITIN," a plant extract that will immediately quench thirsty skin for up to 48 hours.

Need to get out the door like this, right now? To save those precious minutes, add a dash to your moisturizer, and apply it in one go.

Stage 5: Exfoliate & Mask

The extras: tips to try with a moment to spare

Okay, we know, not quite part of a regular skincare routine, but if you have more time, these few steps are perfect-your skin will love you!

If your skin is a little oily, a deep-cleaning clay mask is perfect – plus, it will help shrink the appearance of pores and remove impurities and dead skin cells

Tiny particles (like rice powder) are used by a scrub to gently buff away dead skin cells from your skin, exposing healthier skin underneath. When exfoliating, we like to pay some attention to our hairline – especially around our neck and ears – as skincare products and make-up can sometimes build up here.

Keep these skincare steps once or twice a week and start slowly at first so that your skin is not irritated. It is going to help keep your skin calm (and soft and smooth, too!).

You can also try a sheet mask for an everyday treat. This new hot Korean beauty trend is a moisturizing wonder and will help you relax after a busy day, Your skin will then feel incredibly fragile.
